Have you ever seen the traffic signboards on roadside. I am sure you must have seen and you may also know how they help in safe movements of vehicles on road.

All of you must have travelled by train at least once in your life. You may have observed that trains stop on stations for sometime and then depart from it, or it may stand up to hours due to some problems, sometimes trains also stops in midway between two stations.

A Block Instrument is the apparatus kept at a block station where station master use this to give line clear to or receive line clear from adjacent block station. It is basically a communication equipment between two block station used to implement absolute block working.

Indian Railways has always been a fascinating topic for me. Today, I will share how a train leaves a station and reach next adjacent station. The process of train leaving a station and reaching next adjacent station is called as block working.
